There’s so much to Sesame Lane

Sesame Lane has been in business for over 30 years. Starting with a single centre at Redcliffe, Sesame Lane now employees over 360 staff and has 14 centres across the Moreton Bay Region with a 15th opening next month. So what is behind Sesame Lane? “It is all about community and local connections” (Kerri Smith, Head of Sesame Lane).

Show Day is an annual FREE community event for both Sesame Lane families and the general public filled with rides, activity stalls, entertainment and much more.

Sesame Lane offers FREE activities at a number of local events including Kitefest, Moreton Kids Festival, Christmas Carols and more. From glitter tattoos to cooking experiences and making grass heads, these activities can be enjoyed by all children.

Last year, Sesame Lane raised over $10,000 for local charities through different events at our centres. The charities included Hummingbird House, The Breakfast Club, Pink Ribbon and The Pyjama Foundation.

Sesame Lane only uses local suppliers for their daily meals. Each Sesame Lane centre has an onsite cook that prepares all meals fresh daily –overall providing dietary requirements for 1800 children every week!

Many centres visit retirement villages monthly and the children have built strong connections with local residents.

Sesame Lane offers a number of programs at no extra cost to families, including swimming and dance programs!

“As a business with a focus on the Moreton Bay Region, it’s important that we support local suppliers and businesses where possible”, (Kerri Smith, Head of Sesame Lane).
